Another afflicted film night...

Took me a while to get my hands on this one -- Trainers, Reggae and the Olympics--a punishing ( yet satisfying ) documentary by John Deol and Paul Blake about the marketing dickheads at PUMA and their cultural appropriation of Jamaica.

The film aired on Channel 4 in November 2004, but this will be the first time its screened in Jamaica ( a fact that defies logic when you consider the sort of irrelevant CRAP that's force-fed by local TV stations here every day).

I haven't decided the exact location of where we'll be screening this one, but rest assured that it will be shown within the next three weeks here in Kingston(as the topic is so close to my own heart).
